Gallery of Houston Homes

Its close-in location combined with the warmth of traditional lifestyles and well-maintained homes makes Briarcroft a popular neighborhood. Located within minutes of the Galleria, with easy access to Downtown, I-59, Loop 610, and I-10, the neighborhood has only 282 homes. Bounded by Westheimer to the south and San Felipe to the north, Chimney Rock is its main access street, with all other streets in the community either U-shaped or cul-de-sacs.

Served by HISD, namely the highly rated Briargrove Elementary, Grady Middle School, Lamar High School, and T. H. Rogers (serving children with special needs), Briarcroft is also convenient to numerous well regarded private schools.

Residents of the small subdivision of Briarcroft don't mind being compared with their prestigious neighbors, Briargrove and Tanglewood since houses in Briarcroft are competitively priced and lot sizes are large, averaging more than 13,000 square feet.

Development of the neighborhood began in 1953, and Briarcroft is still home to many of its original homeowners. While most houses have been extensively remodeled and updated, like Briargrove and Tanglewood, Briarcroft has also opened to large two-story new construction.
